Pet Food Recipes

These are all kong recipes. I have made a few of these for my dogs but their favorite recipe is Patch & Posh’s Evening Kong Treat that I created especially for them. I give this kong treat to them when I am at work and it keeps them busy for hours. It’s also healthy and great for digestion.

Patch & Posh’s Evening Kong Treat

Ingredients:

  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 Can of Pumpkin (NOT pumpkin pie mix)
  • 1 Cup of Oatmeal
  • 1 Cup of Peanut Butter

Mix all the ingredients in a blender. Stuff into the kong. Mix some dog kibble in to make a meal or leave the recipe as is for high value treat. Freeze the kong 4-5 hours, then give your dog the frozen treat while you are away or watching tv. It will keep them busy for a while, which is the point of freezing it. I put the extra in the refrigerator to stuff the next day. Stays good in refrigerator up to 2 days.
